Hood River, OR - Solstice Pizza 5.11.18
It was Friday night and we were looking for some family fun. As we pulled off the highway for Hood River we saw the skyline was peppered with Kite and Wind Surfers. The wind was whipping hard and it was clear why this was an expert only area for surfers. Whether you are a family, couple or individual it is worth a drive out to check out the talent.
The boys raced down the paved walkway towards the playground. Kids of all ages zipped around and the boys quickly made friends to play with.
It wasn't long until our bellies began to rumble and we hit up Solstice for some tasty brick oven pizzas. The sun was setting and the place was packed. We wanted to sit outside at one of the select few tables so the boys played corn hole and other games that were provided while we waited. It wasn't long until a table was freed up. At the table the boys were given crayons and a drawing to color. For the first time they were completely enthralled in the coloring and completed the whole thing.
The sun was setting behind the mountain as we finished up our pizzas. The service and atmosphere was great. We will definitely be coming back. On a whole we recommend the trip to everyone of all ages.
